067 : Fudge Clean Blonde Shampoo

I absolutely love being blonde, after years and years of being a brunette I went back to blonde about 5 years ago and it's been a constant struggle to keep yellow tones at bay. I've tried more violet and toning shampoos over the years than I can shake a stick at, but this might just be the best one yet.

Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo claims to eradicate yellow tones from blonde hair and it does just that. I soak my hair and pop this on, its a really deep violet colour so looks a little daunting at first but it smells so beautiful. I wash mine straight off again and my hair is evenly toned with no yellow whatsoever. Sounds almost too good to be true right?!

This shampoo can be left on for up to 5 minutes if you're after a gorgeous silver shade or a pale lilac, but if you're looking to just knock out the brasiness in your blonde, I'd wash it off fairly quickly because it doesn't take long at all for it to change!

The only qualm I've had with this is that it isn't quite nourishing enough for my hair, after years of having highlights and bleach put through my locks, its in fairly crap condition so I always use a really moisturising conditioner afterwards - other than that, I'd say its pretty perfect and I can't imagine replacing it with anything else just yet!

Have you guys tried any Fudge hair products?!

051 June Favourites

Hey lovelies, hope you're all having a wonderful week. The last month has been crazy busy for me, with my best friend moving home from Torquay, its been amazing to have her back and spend some time together again. My littlest boy had his big school induction too, growing up way too fast! I've been loving loads of products this month, it was really hard to narrow it down to my absolute favourites!

I picked up this Too Faced blush a while ago after pining after it for ages & ages, I will do a full review on this as I love it so much, the shades all look beautiful blended together and the packaging is absolutely divine. I've definitely got my little eyes on the Candy Glow shade, its a little lighter which I think would suit my skintone a bit better. Besotted. I've been really impressed with this L'Oreal Super Liner, I use it with an angled brush from Mac and its just perfect, its highly pigmented and literally doesn't budge all day. I've had this little pot around three months now and I still have tons left after using it everyday, you definitely get your bang for your buck. I've been a little hit and miss with Mac foundations, I didn't get on well with Studio Fix but I love Mineralize, its so lightweight and gives the perfect amount of coverage with a healthy, dewy glow. To take my make-up off at the end of the day, I've been religiously using Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm by Clinique, so it looks a little like lard but does an amazing job at getting my skin squeaky clean! I follow up with Liz Earle's Skin Repair Moisturiser which is an ultra rich, creamy moisturiser which just feels utterly luxurious to apply. It soaks in amazingly and keeps my skin nice and hydrated all day. For an added bit of luxury I've been absolutely loving Romance by Ralph Lauren, it's such a beautiful scent. I love floral, girly fragrances and this definitely hits the spot!

When it comes to haircare, I have to admit, I'm a little lazy. In the mornings I resemble something out of a horror movie, with hair here, there and everywhere. Toni & Guys smoothing lotion always sorts it out, you only need a tiny amount to smooth through to the ends, for a tamed, sleek barnet. I've been using purple shampoos for years now, to take the yellowy tinge off my blonde hair and I haven't found one that I've been head over heels for until I found this L'oreal beauty. It's pricey but you only need a small amount and I don't wash my hair every day, so a little goes a long way. Unlike other shampoos it doesn't really foam up so much but keeps my blonde locks looking bright and toned. For anyone looking for the perfect purple shampoo, get this one! The smell is to die for too! Back onto skincare, Mac's Studio Fix Powder plus Foundation has really kept me going the last few months, I use it to set my foundation but if you have good skin already, you could use it on its own. On my nails I've been wearing Romper Room by Essie, a shade that was bought out with their recent Spring Collection, it's a really cute baby pink which is kind of similar to Fiji, but just a bit pinker. It's perfect for an added girly touch and looks so good with a bit of a tan! My lips have been adorned with Mac's Sweet Experience lipstick, which I absolutely love, a gorgeous shade of pink which I think is a one shade suits all kind of lipstick. It doesn't feel too drying and it has good staying power too, it's always the one shade I go for if I don't want anything thats too out there and in your face. Classy and elegant!

What products have you guys been loving this month?! I'd love to know!

041 Review : Bleach White Toner

Hey Lovelies! Hope everyone is well and settling into 2014! I've had a really busy few weeks and am really appreciating a lovely sit down a catch up with my favourite blogs! (leave me links your below!)

I've been really pining to get my hair done for ages & ages, its naturally quite mousey and having experimented with every colour of the rainbow over the last ten years, I settled on blonde about four years ago. I love being a blonde but had forgotten how hard is it to maintain, having to get your roots done more often, the brassiness and general maintenance, it usually costs me over £100 just to get my hair cut, toned and my roots done, at this time of year it just isn't doable, with Christmas just gone by and all of my pennies spent, it was time to take matters into my own hands. I don't mind roots too much, but I hate the brassiness of blonde, after a few months my hair takes on a light yellowy orange tone and I can't bear it. Bleach was a brand I hadn't actually heard of until they bought out their range of dyes and shampoos in Boots, I decided to pick up some of their White Toner and give it a try.

I really like Bleach's packaging, I love how its a little different and a bit edgy, I love the unusual shape of the box and the fact that it doesn't have a picture of Davina McCall on the front. Having tried various silver shampoo, I figure it was time to up my game. I always find silver shampoo works to an extent, but my hair always needs an extra boost to eliminate all of the brassiness completely.

Inside the box was:

- 80ml Developer Lotion
- 1 tube of Colourant
- 50ml Reincarnation Mask
- Plastic Gloves
- Instructions

The instructions stated to wash your hair first and towel dry, then to mix up the developer lotion with the colourant and give the bottle a good old shake, then to apply onto your towel dried hair, starting from the roots and sectioning it as you go. The toner was a white colour before you put it onto your hair and it was a really nice consistency, I hate hair dyes that are really runny and just drip absolutely everywhere. It was pretty mess free, although I did have a few qualms with the gloves. They were MASSIVE and they slipped about here, there and everywhere. I'd suggest buying some vinyl gloves from your local supermarket before using this as they'd work far better. My hands aren't tiny but they honestly look like they were made for a giant and I found them quite tricky to use.

The instructions stated not to leave the toner on for more than 20 minutes. I left mine for 20 minutes exactly before washing off, giving it a shampoo at the same time. I then popped the Reincarnation Mask on for 5 minutes, as the instructions said to. I've used the Reincarnation Mask before and its amazing, its definitely one of the best hair masks that I've used. It leaves your hair so super soft, lots of blondes will know that our hair can dry out quite quickly but this really restores moisture and leaves hair feeling beautiful.

I blow dried my hair - I didn't add any additional products as I usually would as I wanted the best results - and was actually really impressed. I'd heard mixed reviews about this toner but it definitely eliminated the majority of my brassiness, I think I'd need another box to eliminate it completely but it did an amazing job at getting my hair back to a more natural shade of blonde, I was a little concerned about the roots as they were quite mousey and I did wonder if it would go a little yellowy, but actually they now blend really nicely with my hair!

I'd definitely use this toner again and for anyone wanting to eliminate brassiness I think its a must. At £7 aswell you just can't go wrong! Next.. Bleach Rose Hair Dye?

Has anyone tried Bleach products? What do you all think?

Lots of love
xxx

009 Style Icon : Chloe Moretz

Evening Belles! Massive apologies for the slack update, unfortunately I've been all tucked up in bed for almost two weeks with the flu! Definitely not been feeling my best, but I'm back up on my feet and raring to go! So be prepared for some massive updating and hopefully a little bit of redesign too!

Hope everyone has had a good couple of weeks?! What have you all been up to? I spent the last couple of days in Brighton with the boyfriend, it was really lovely to spend some time together and the little cutie pie even made me some biscuits! (I don't think he'd ever baked anything in his life ever!)

Cracking on, this weeks Style Icon is the darling little Chloe Moretz, at just 16 years young, Chloe has made a massive name for herself in the acting world, beginning her career at just a teeny tiny 7 years old! She's starred in some massive movies, including The Amityville Horror, Kick-Ass, Hugo and Dark Shadows

Chloe's name in the fashion world has just taken a huge step forward, she celebrated her 16th Birthday this week, and most definitely celebrated it in style as she collected the award for Next Future Icon at the Elle Style Awards. Wearing a stunning monochrome dress designed by Stella McCartney and matching shoes with a cute yet elegant up-do and minimal make-up, she looked every inch the Hollywood Starlet that she is.

Chloes acting career is set to take big boost as she stars as cult character Carrie White in the remake of the 1976 horror flick, Carrie. She also resumes her role as Mindy in Kick-Ass 2, which is scheduled for release this summer.

I can't wait to see what 2013 brings for her and the contents of her wardrobe, I'm sure she's gonna be busting out some amazing outfits if the last year was anything to go by, joining the likes of Lara Stone, Ashley Greene, Naomi Watts and Uma Thurman at the front row of Calvin Kleins SS12 fashion show in New York. She can definitely do no wrong when it comes to her style status!

Who's your current Style Icon?!
